Waterford Lions Club
Christmas Carol Concert 2019
The 30th year of the Lions Club Christmas Carol Concert will once again be under the baton of Kevin O’ Carroll at The Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity in Waterford City. Thirty years ago, Kevin came to Waterford Lions Club with an idea of having a Carol Concert and it continues to draw a full house each year.
For so many people the Waterford Lions Club Christmas Carol Concert is the real start to Christmas. The concert has become a tradition and such a special part of the Christmas calendar in Waterford. People from far and wide come together to hear the Waterford Concert Orchestra under the baton of Kevin O’Carroll with soloists and Choirs from all over Waterford City and County and to celebrate not only Christmas but also to celebrate and support the work of the Waterford Lions Club in their effort to look after the many families in need in Waterford.
Over the past 30 years, the event has raised in excess of €200,000 for the Lions Club Christmas Hamper Appeal. Doors open from 2.30pm, patrons are advised to arrive early to get a seat. This year’s MC is Damien Tiernan of WLR FM.
Admission is FREE with donations to the Lions Club Christmas Hamper Appeal.
