Culture Night Waterford; Culture Night is one of those nights where we can all get out onto the streets of Waterford and enjoy the music, art theatre and so much more that it embedded deep in Waterford’s soul.
Last year all the events for Culture Night Waterford were online here at Waterford In Your Pocket and even though thousands of people watch and enjoyed the eclectic mix there is nothing that can beat being there in person.
In what can only be described as amazing weather, Friday night last, the 17th of September, gave many of us a breath of fresh air in more ways than one. It really seemed that the pandemic was all but forgotten as we walked from impromptu stage to stage right across the city.
Anna Jordan, who is chief bottle washer at Culture Night Waterford said “I was ecstatic to see so many people out and about and watching people as they tapped their feet to the beat of many of the bands. There was really something for everyone and best of all everyone got on board. Waterford is a great place to live and Culture Night provides us with one night to show everyone the talent that we have here in spades”.
“Each year more and more people and groups want to get involved. It is an important night for many groups as it acts as a showcase offers a chance to help people to decide if they want to get involved in the various groups or even take up a new hobby”, continued Anna.
“All I know is that each year is getting better and better and it really is an event that I and the crew look forward to each year. Of course it wouldn’t be possible without the support of Waterford Council and Waterford Arts Office but thankfully they are very proactive in supporting the arts in Waterford”, concluded Anna.
