Ship Runs Aground On River Barrow

An interesting story this week came about when a ship the MV Lisa ran into difficulties on the River Barrow, one of the Three Sister Rivers, as it made its way to New Ross carrying a cargo of four and a half thousand tonnes of dry goods.
The ship ran aground and got stuck in the mud of the river but thankfully was pulled back into the main stream by tug boats based in Waterford city.
Luckily there were no injuries and the ship remained undamaged.  She continued on to New Ross where she delivered her cargo and after inspection was allowed to leave
