The Rogue ’s Comedy Club are announcing two new monthly comedy nights, with a promise of pandemonium, the line up will delight the bravest of comedy lovers this summer.

The Rogue’s Comedy Club, Waterford’s home for alternative comedians, are expanding their club with a new collaboration with JARRZ (38/39 John Street), Waterford‘s best sports bar, with self-serving beer and craic.

With two monthly nights, each bringing a different flavour of fun, The Rogue’s promise to keep us belly laughing all throughout the summer.

The aptly named ‘JARRHEADZ’ open mic night launching in JARRZ bar on Sunday 28th April at 7.30pm, invites revellers to get a sneak peak at the freshest and newest material from funny people. At only €3 at the door, you won’t want to miss what The Rogue’s get up to.

Two weeks after your first dose of laughs, the second monthly night of humour will kick off in JARRZ. ‘THE ROGUE’S OF COMEDY’ night will showcase some of the South East’s best comedians. Friday 17th of May will see Waterford’s own MJ Stokes and Carlow’s Shannon Basso Guale headline the stage with doors opening at 7.30pm and tickets at €5 on Eventbrite or €7 on the door.

The Rogue’s have been making waves in Waterford’s comedy scene since January 2023. After a successful run of monthly open mics in Axe Junkies (21 Great George’s Street), They have garnered a reputation nationwide for being the comedy club where chaos meets comedy and going rogue is encouraged!

SAORISE KEATING, Organizer and host of The Rogues Comedy Club, took on the role of host in January 2023. With co-host KIAN CARROLL joining the ranks in Summer 2023, the team has further expanded to include seasoned comic SELMA PAGE and man about town ROBERT CONDREN.

As an inexperienced performer, Saoirse decided to take a risk and create the gig she needed, and shared it with all comedians in the Waterford arts scene.

I didn’t know what I was doing but I knew I had to do it. I made a brand, got into social media advertising. On our second night at Axe Junkies, Kian came along with a huge amount of enthusiasm and just as good jokes. It’s been so incredible to see what this little open mic has become as we take on a second venue and move in to professional nights” Saoirse Keating, Organizer and host of The Rogues Comedy Club.

Co-host Kian Carroll describes himself as Ireland’s answer to Dave Chappelle. A young man who has channeled his creative talent to help him work through addiction. While comedy is his real passion, his recovery journey has seen him graduate from Gaiety Theatre and become a multi-talented actor, writer and filmmaker with Stonelark Productions and Red Lead Film Productions.
