South East Bikers Toy Run 2018
Saturday December 8th
The Santa Toy Run 2018 organised by South East Bikers takes place Saturday the 8th of December. This is always a spectacular Christmas event and an amazing sight to see!
This is the 23rd Toy Run and it just goes from strength to strength every year!! The convoy of hundreds of bikes from all over the South East of Ireland and further afield too, will leave the Royal Oak in Mooncoin at 1pm and travel to the Topaz Petrol Station just outside Clonmel for a pit-stop and proceed from there through Waterford City to University Hospital on the Dunmore Road in Waterford. They’ll be collecting new toys along the way to distribute in the Paediatric Unit at UHW.
Excess toys and cash donations will be donated to Touching Hearts and the Sacred Heart Centre in Waterford.
The route is as follows:
The Toy Run will come into Waterford crossing Rice Bridge from the Sallypark side shortly before 3pm, up Bridge Street, up through the Glen, across Ballybricken and down Patrick Street, along Bakehouse Lane, onto Lady Lane and Colbeck Street, Down The Mall onto Lombard Street and then out the Dunmore Road to University Hospital Waterford. Santa will then meet all the kids in the Paediatric Unit and give them their presents!!
