Waterford News & Star "Festive Star"

Festive Star

The Waterford News & Star Christmas Annual 2019

THIS year the  Waterford News & Star have brought out an amazing bumper Christmas Annual called Festive Star! Incorporating everything that was brilliant about their annual Christmas supplement, which, they say, had grown “too big for its boots” so they decided to go one better.,
By publishing as a stand-alone Christmas Annual the Waterford News & Star have been able to increase the size to a bumper 124 pages, add a gorgeous glossy cover by artist Lisa Keane, pack in a mouth-watering 6-page food & wine section; a fun Festive Star section for kids; double the size of their sport nostalgia; dedicate five pages to the work of Waterford’s talented creative writers; and give the Waterford ladies a steer on some fabulous festive looks.

Traditions
The Festive Star continue to honour a Waterford News & Star tradition that goes all the way back to 1885 – when the first Christmas supplement to the paper was published in the Waterford News, on the heels of the Victorian-era’s new found love for all things Christmas.
Photos from 1994
As is a Waterford News & Star ritual, photographer Joe Evans once again goes back 25 years, delving deep into their archives to unearth some gems for our Looking Back series. Maybe you feature!
