A massive well done to Joe Gough of West Waterford AC on becoming the world champion this morning in Malaga at the World Masters track and field championships where he broke the over 65 European 800 meters record to take gold in a time of 2.16.38.
Michael Barrand Australia was 2nd in 2.19.96
3rd was Carlos Londono of Boliva in 2.21.30

Age doesn’t seem to be a barrier to Joe and at 65 he keeps going from strength to strength. What an inspiration to all of us. Well done Joe
