WCQ Place is a community and cultural hub on O’Connell Street in Waterford City’s Cultural Quarter. It brings community activity, learning and cultural events into a shared city-centre space.
A space for community and culture
Officially opened in October 2023, the hub was developed by Waterford City and County Council. The opening announcement describes a multi-purpose ground-floor space supporting community groups, language classes and creative activity.
WCQ Place was established with Waterford Integration Services and Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board among its partners. The venue’s programme can include community gatherings and cultural performances; individual organisers provide the details for their own sessions.
Events at WCQ Place
The Imagine Arts Festival 2026 programme lists Puisín Beag an Diabhail at the WCQ Community and Cultural Hub. Check our What’s On listings for dated events and use the organiser’s booking information before travelling.
