Pre-Festival: 17 – 22 August
The pre-festival kicks off on 17 August, as Irish and international artists arrive, set up and begin creating art on walls around the city. The Waterford Walls crew will host a lighter pre-programme of activity taking place from 17-22 August, featuring art trails for enthusiasts keen to see the artists developing large-scale works of art in different locations.

Waterford Walls International Street Art Festival presented by the Walls Project, returns for its fourth year, with 50 Irish and international street and graffiti artists.
Ireland’s largest street art festival will showcase over 130 murals this August 23rd to 26th in Waterford City. See street artists at work, join workshops, tours, art jams, food trails, listen to panel talks and live music events.
What’s on:
Celebrations begin with the launch of a community ‘Hub’ in Ballybricken on Friday 17th of August, where people of all ages can enjoy workshops, music and food in a relaxed day-time setting.
Guided art trails kick off this weekend also, where attendees can observe the progress being made on the latest beautiful pieces of street art.
The festival will gather momentum on 23rd of August with the installation of the O’Connell Street Hub and Walls Marquee, where live music, a festival bar sponsored by Hennesy and panel discussions will take place. Join us to marvel as Waterford City turns technicolour once again!
